Let Your Voice Be Heard

In the society we live in, we are forced to surrender our individuality. We tend to have a preconceived notion of what our lives should look like. We are made to believe that we should live by a certain standard to obtain success. This standard typically consists of going to college, getting a degree, starting a career, and starting a family. This “should” be accomplished by the time you are in your early thirties. If you don’t meet one of those criteria’s in your early thirties, then “something is wrong with you”.

Many times, our parents have a vision for us. They see us as a better version of themselves. They want us to develop certain traits that they probably lack in life. They see us in top career fields that maybe they didn’t get to. We try to satisfy our parents by living in their shadow and doing exactly what they want us to do. We begin to sacrifice our dreams, ambitions, and desires in hopes of living up to our parents expectations.

Answer this…..

When are you going to speak up?

When are you going to let your voice be heard?

It’s time to take a stand. Your voice should not be drowned out by others. Your thoughts and feelings are just as important. Your opinions matter more than the ones dictating your life. Never put anything or anyone above your happiness. You only have one life to live. Don’t wait until it’s too late to decide to make it your best life.

Don’t be afraid to block out the noises and negativity of others. Make your own decisions. Start doing this today. Today is the day! Today is YOUR day! Stand up for yourself. Be proud of who you are. Trust your gut. Have faith that everything will all be worth it in the end. You will succeed at whatever you put your heart into.

“Follow your heart, listen to your inner voice, stop caring what others think.”-
