How You Coming Out?

Where do you see yourself when the quarantine is over? What new skills have you acquired? What plans are you going to put into effect? Are coming out of the quarantine as the same person you were before? I definitely hope not!

Most of us have been given ample time to get ourselves together. Yes, this has definitely been a hard time for many of us, but it should have also served as a time for self discovery and self improvement.

Me personally, I’ve experienced many ups and downs over the past few weeks. A few days ago I found myself being slightly depressed, or better yet disappointed because I felt stuck. Stuck within the walls of my apartment with no where to go and nothing really to do.

As I’ve said in my latest posts, I feel like I’ve grown so much mentally and spiritually over the past 2 months. I’ve read many books, visited many blogs, and watched probably over 100 YouTube videos on self improvement. I truly appreciate all of the wisdom and knowledge that I ascertained. But at the same time, I feel that I can’t fully embrace my growth and what I’ve learned because we are still constrained due to the current quarantine.

I found myself being in low spirits because I really want to get out and explore the world again. I want to be able to sit on the beach to get a peace of mind. I want to be able to walk down a strip with loud music playing. I want to be able to go to the malls and do some well needed shopping. I want to go to restaurants, bars, lounges, and things like that. I just really want to feel free again, but I have to trust the process and continue to use this time wisely and improve myself even more.

So what about you? Are you using this time to better yourself? Or are you letting time pass you by? Just remember, we may never have another time like this in which we are able to really sit back, reflect, and plan for our future. As hard as it may be, do yourself a favor and use this time to your full advantage. I guarantee once this pandemic is officially over you’re going to come out of this quarantine as a stronger, wiser, and better human being. Just trust the process.
