Stop going back to the same situations hoping that they will one day change. If the disconnection between you and that situation is there now, it will always be there. You can try all day until you’re blue in the face to force a feeling of connectedness, but eventually you’d have to one day accept that it would never feel the same again.

It’s like a new product that’s on the market. Prior to getting into the market it had to go through different trials and tests to see how effective it is. After proving itself time and time again, do you think the manufacturer is going to keep going through this trial process? Absolutely not! Instead, the manufacturer is going to place a value on the product and watch it flourish as it makes its way to the market.

The same goes for you and your situations. You find yourself going back trying to test the waters to see if things will change. And each time you do that, you realize more and more that you feel disconnected. The spark that you once felt is no longer there and the feeling that you would like to feel just can’t seem to come from this situation. Are you going to keep going back to test it?

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but if you’ve been going back to a situation repeatedly hoping to restore a connection, and yet you still feel disconnected, chances are it will always feel like that. It’s time to move forward with your life and get into the world and watch yourself flourish!

Stop letting the past deter you from what’s in front of you. Be bold enough to cut the ties on any situation that’s been holding you back from becoming who you are meant to be. Have the courage to step out of your comfort zone and try new things. Create new experiences that are far better than what you can remember. Live your life to its full extent. You deserve to be happy. Don’t let anything get in your way.

Old situations aren’t always healthy for you, especially if it’s not bringing any fulfillment or joy into your life. You may “miss the connection” (as the title says in all caps 😎), but one day you will have to accept the fact that it has become null and voided. Let that day be today and move forward with your life.
