We are approaching the end of 2020. Every year, I ponder on the things that I expect out of the new year. I sometimes wonder if I am going into 2021 the same way that I’m coming out of this year.
While this year was like an eye-opener for me, it definitely had some trying moments. Of all my years of teaching, this year has been the toughest. Teaching both virtually and in-person simultaneously (while trying to really ensure that students grasp the material) has been a huge challenge. This has seriously made me reconsider my whole career and a different avenue in where I would want to go in life.
I’ve also learned the art of letting go. I learned how to free myself of unhealthy attachments. I was able to finally put what I feeling first before anything else. This was ultimately one of the hardest things that I’ve ever had to do, but it was definitely worth the clarity that I now have in my life. As of a result of it all, I feel like I have found my purpose.
2021 will be the first year that I’m walking into with a clear vision. This will be the first year that I go into knowing my purpose and who I am. This will be the first year that I’m at my most confident and true self. I’m ready for all that 2021 have in store for me.
Despite the pandemic, I do appreciate all of my experiences and revelations throughout this year. 2020 will always be a year for me to remember.

I too believe that despite the pandemic, 2020 has also brought about a lot of learning and experiences. Glad to see that I don’t feel alone in this regard. Thanks for this post!
